Does Kodak Memory Cards Work With Other Brand Cameras?

I'm planning on going to a convention next month and realize I'm too afraid to bring my sony a100k with me because it's so big -
that said I'm looking for small cameras, but at the same time I realized I have only Kodak Memory cards.
Do Kodak Memory cards work with other brand cameras, like Nikon, Sony or Canon?
And if they don't, do you think it'd be more worthwhile to get a Kodak camera or buy new memory cards?

Of course they do ... all memory cards are standardized. CF, SD / SDHC, xD and Memory Sticks
So if your Kodak Memory cards are designed for use in a Sony camera (Memory Stick) they will work. If they are SD, xD or CF cards the reason they will not work is not because of the brand, but the size and shape of the card.
Here is the run down. Memory Sticks (any brand) only work in Sony digital P&S cameras. xD memory cards only work in Olympus and a few older Fujifilm P&S cameras and SD / SDHC memory cards will work with all other P&S cameras.

Am I the only one who has trouble driving with vari-focal glasses?
I wear vari-focal lenses and last year I reversed out of my drive straight into my sons car. I didn't even see the thing. It had been snowing and the car is bright red. I bumped it 6" over a snow rut. It was only then that I realised the extent of the blind spot vari-focals give. I then realised that at junctions I could barely focus on the oncoming traffic unless I was staring straight at it. I looked just like one of those nodding dogs! The fact that I was such a danger on the road (!) gave me such a fright that I immediately went to the Opticians and got myself a pair of single vision lenses to drive with. I am now back to my brilliant reversing skills. Am I the only one who will admit to this problem with these particular lenses?
i am aware of this problem, not with driving but with drawing i was in a art class and the model had a fairly basic shape ,it was not until i took off the varifocals that i realised the perspective was all to cock, totally wrong, now i teach art at degree level and strongly advise students not to wear them whilst drawing, so it is no surprise to me that your driving vision was affected, your judgment on distance was affected, as well as blind spot you indicated in your answer, regards LF

First of all, why on earth would you buy lenses that cost as much as those do on EBAY?? The lens in the first link, the 70-200mm f/2.8 VR can be found here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/274780-USA/Nikon_2139_70_200mm_f_2_8D_VR_G_AFS.html and that's $200 cheaper (including shipping). The lens in the second link is the same as the first, only the f/2.8D version without VR. Personally, if you're in the market for the newer one, get the newer one, I wouldn't waste my time on an older lens from God knows who on ebay on it. Do yourself a favor, shop around. Don't buy ANYTHING that costs that much money from ebay. There are a host of reasons why, but don't worry yourself to death about them. They tend to gouge prices on ebay, especially on nikon gear. B&H is about the most trustworthy websites to by camera gear from on the internet, and you wouldn't do a hellova lot worse by walking into your local camera shop and buying one in person, save shipping.
As long as we're talking about lenses of that class, stick with the nikkor. Sigma is great, but when compared to the nikkor you don't get VR (at the very least). If you can't afford the $1600, the sigma is a great choice, if you can get the nikkor.

Hello, I have a Nikon D3000 and it's an excellent one. I'm trying to improve it and plan to buy a flash and a lens. Now these are my options:

The Metz flash is a better unit than the SB-600, with more power and features. It is also cheaper. Metz has been making pro flashes for a long time, and it a well known name, not a "generic" or off-brand company.
The lenses... personally I'd take the Sigma, but you may wish to have the stabilized 55-200. Although it sounds like a lot, the difference between 200 and 300mm is not all that great. The VR feature of the Nikon lens may be of more use to you than the extra 100mm on the Sigma.

There are lots of retailers stocking 120 roll film. I use the internet based www.7dayshop.com
I tend to stick with Ilford for B&W and Velvia for transparency. In fact any brand will be OK but as with everything else you can't go wrong with the tried and tested. Regarding ISO as with all films it's up to you.
I take it you realise that the camera does not have a light meter so you will have to either buy/borrow a handheld meter or take your SLR with you to determine the exposure. Basically set your SLR to the ISO of the film in your Nettar and match the shutter speed and apeture indicated by the SLR onto the Nettar.
Then fire away. It would be a good idea to note the exposure settings for each frame so you can check this against the prints/negs when developed.
ADDITIONAL:
6 X 9 doesn't matter. 120 Roll Film is 6cm wide and your camera will produce negatives 9 cm long.
I use a 6 X 6 camera this still takes 120 Roll Film but produces negatives 6cm long (actually square)
